what is the silent hill museum?
the silent hill museum is a fansite dedicated to the preservation and exploration of the silent hill games.
the goal is to allow for open knowledge about the silent hill file formats.
the exhibits of the museum are purely intended as an educational, non-commercial resource.
what does the silent hill museum do?
the silent hill museum contains every mdl file that lives inside of silent hill restless dreams (pc). that means it contains every distinct 3d model in both the main scenario, letter from silent heaven, and also the sub-scenario, born from a wish. so what can be done with it?

what’s planned for the museum?
right now, everything the museum supports is for export: being able to extract data from the models, and bring it to you in a lovely online exhibit.
now that we’re satisfied with that part, the museum is turning towards import: being able to create your very own mdl files and effortlessly put them into silent hill 2.
